News from FSL – January 2023

CGiX Version Release Updates:

• Reports: CGiX has been enhanced with a new ‘Account Client Ownership Report’ to aid in determining client and account information.
• What If: Based on user feedback excess white space has been reduced on the What If screen and the copying of text across all areas of the What If is now available.
• Calculation: Changes have been made to the calculation engine to increase the accuracy of figures shown on the front-end and reports in relation to Multi/Shared Account scenarios.

Analysis of ORF Data:

At FSL, we hold a comprehensive database of offshore reporting funds and their associated data.  We recently analysed the 2020/21 data and the key information required to accurately report the tax liabilities of clients’ offshore investments.  The results form part of an article to be published in the next edition of Taxation magazine.

We were honored to host a group of our clients last November for our latest CGiX User Group.

The event was held at the Wax Chandlers’ Hall and  showcased a tax update from one of our Tax specialists. Presentations included details on the latest CGiX news, key milestones, ORF developments, and information on future projects including a Financial Instrument Reference Database. The event was also an opportunity for attendees to network with other CGiX users and the FSL team.

Feedback from attendees acknowledged that it is “always a good idea to have a face-to-face meeting” and found that the “speakers were great in terms of providing the latest updates”.

We are pleased welcome Nuno Godinho as Group Chief Executive of Industrial Thought Group, FSL’s parent company.

Nuno brings a wealth of experience, having worked at an executive level at both private and public listed companies, including GE Health Cloud, the first Industry Cloud solution for healthcare which transformed GE Healthcare. Nuno is also a Lead Business Mentor & Entrepreneur in Residence with Harvard Alumni Entrepreneurs.

Following Nuno’s appointment at the Group level, we are also delighted to announce that Michael Edwards will take on the role of Managing Director of FSL. Michael joined FSL in 2015 and has been the product owner for CGiX for several years.  His depth of knowledge of the product and our customers will drive FSL’s future strategic plans.
